Honoring Fallen Public Safety Officers
The Honor Guard is a team of professional firefighters created after department members attended the funerals of 3 Tarrant County firefighters who were killed in the Line of Duty in 1999. They are committed to ensuring that fire service traditions and ceremonies are performed and observed with honor and dignity.
The team’s paramount mission is to pay tribute to those firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and to those who have passed on following distinguished careers in the emergency service. The Honor Guard also proudly represents the Fire Department in both funeral and memorial services for other public safety officers.
