  1. Senior Information & Wellness Fair 2017

    May 24, 2017, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    The fair provides a wealth of information for those of retirement and pre-retirement age to enhance their ability to plan for future years. It features free health screenings and information regarding services available in our area. The fair is free and open to everyone. There will be over 50 vendors giving out free information on senior living options, financial planning, funeral pre-planning, senior moving services, insurance options, personal care services, fire safety tips from the Plano Fire Department and personal safety tips from the Plano Police Dept. Free screenings for hearing, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, depression and fall prevention. Lots of door prizes!

    Registration for summer classes and camps begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 6 for Plano residents and at 5 a.m. on Monday, May 8 for everyone else. Classes begin the week of June 5. Swim, hike, dance, do tai chi and yoga, brush up on computer skills, paint, sew, kayak or learn to paint...these opportunities and more can be found in the Summer 2017 Leisure Catalog.

Plano Stages

  1. Dancing at the Plaza: Swing

    Plano Stages, in partnership with the Dance Council of North Texas is excited to present a series of free dance lessons at McCall Plaza! Each session will focus on a different style of dance. This session's style is SWING. Partners are not required. Singles can be matched up on site. Swing dancing is a dance style originating from Harlem, New York. The style was developed to the swing style of jazz music from the 1920's. The most known swing dance is the lindy hop that is danced today around the world. Swing dancing is danced socially, which makes it interactive, fun, and a great time as you get to meet and dance with lots of different people!
