    The Plano International Festival is CANCELED for October 13 because of the weather. However, some events will still happen at the Courtyard Theater. The Naturalization Ceremony is at 11 a.m. and the Wellness Fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    Tour the world and improve your wellness at the Plano International Festival. The area's largest cultural event offers food, fun and entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy multicultural music and dance performances, ethnic food trucks, and cultural displays from over 100 countries. Hands-on children's activities, foreign film screening, flag parade, and the area's only outdoor naturalization ceremony round out the fun. Come early for the popular Fitness and Wellness Fair with free flu shots and health screenings for kids and adults, plus interactive fitness demos. Admission and parking are free.   1. Shoots and Ladders 5K & 10K

    Benefitting Plano Police Association and Plano Firefighters Association, the Amphitheatre at Oak Point Park is the perfect Start/Finish location for a 5K and 10K run. Runners and walkers will enjoy a beautiful route through Oak Point Park and nature preserve. All race participants will receive a finisher medal, a gender-specific technical shirt, and a Fire/Police silicone bracelet. Definitely a cause and race swag worth running for! All proceeds from this event benefit the Plano Police Association (PPA) and the Plano Firefighters Association (PFA). The PPA and the PFA are fraternal, benevolent and charitable 501(c) organizations dedicated to serving the needs of their members and families as well as their community. Their mission is to honor those who serve our community and ensure the safety and well being of all citizens.

  3. Plano International Festival: Film Screening of "Simple Notes"

    Famed singer Arijit Singh’s directorial debut is the moving story of a boy who overcomes tragedy through music during the turbulent birth of Bangladesh. The movie is in Bengali with English subtitles. This unique cultural experience of screening the movie "Simple Notes" is a part of the Plano International Festival. There will be live traditional Indian music performances before the movie and a expert panel discussion and Q&A after the movie. All proceeds will go toward funding the Plano Symphony Orchestra’s Scholarship Program.

  4. Apparition Expedition: A Stroll Through Plano's Paranormal Past

    This guided, 1.5-mile hike through historic downtown Plano will introduce attendees to the mysterious, the ghostly, and the darker moments of Plano's history.
